Hi lovelies! I hope that you are all having a fantastic week so far… we’re half-way to the weekend! I’ve been a little behind in my fashion posts the past few weeks but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been documenting my outfits. In fact, I’ve decided to step up my game a little bit. In the past, my outfit pictures consist of me, running out the door and having someone take a quick picture for me. But this being a new year and all I’ve decided to hopefully up my ante a bit. What I’ve found is that these little “model shots” are actually really fun. I’ve also learned that sometimes the outtakes are the best shots. Although they tend to be a little embarrassing re: my serious face just looks like I’m angry, it’s also good to make fun of oneself so I’ll do a full “outtakes” post soon.
I call this outfit a “London look” because there are elements that I wore when I was abroad. Although I wasn’t a fan of the cold, I loved that layers were essential and cold weather accessories are key. Most of the time in San Francisco, neither are necessary but the extremely cold temperatures of 2 weeks ago brought my London and SF wardrobes together. After cleaning out my closet, I discovered my plaid tweed skirt which I haven’t worn in a few years but was a fun discovery! I kept the rest of the outfit classic with black and wore my new Cole Haan flat boots. Oh and I wore this outfit ice skating because let’s face it, tweed skirt and beret scream ice skating, right?

I absolutely love this London-meets-San Francisco look! The tweed skirt is schoolgirl-chic, while the Cole Haan boots and beret scream sophisticated. Super cute!
I’m looking forward to seeing that outtakes post! Happy Wednesday, Emily!
LOVE the look and your model shots!! We started taking some too for the new blog and I agree – it’s embarrassing for me! haha. I feel so awkward 🙂
Very cute!! Love the beret! I wonder if I could pull it off…
