Wordless Week and Weekend

Hi lovelies! I hope that you had a great weekend! Are any of you taking an extended vacation this week? I’ll be working, but do have a half-day tomorrow and Wednesday off and am very excited. No big plans, but a day spent with family which will be nice. I’ve had a very busy and fun week and weekend and thought I’d let the pictures do the talking. I left my camera at a friend’s house a few weeks ago and haven’t had a chance to retrieve it, so apologies for the iphone pics!

Homemade sushi and miso soup!!

Grease sing-along at the Castro Theater

Decked out, ’50s style

The best frozen yogurt ever… natural and chocolate swirl with fresh raspberry puree, chocolate shavings and homemade granola

  1. WOW your froyo looks amazing! Best thing I ate this weekend was some amazing fudge chocolate caramel dessert I ate at a party! I don’t even know what to call it, but it was super decadent. Oh, and I saw The Intouchables and LOVED it! Such an amazing story! I’ve never been to a movie sing-a-long, but that sounds so fun. You look adorable all decked out in your 50s gear!

  2. Ahh, a Grease sing along?! I so wish I could have joined you! I think I know every line to every song in that movie, so I would have been the obnoxious girl singing too loudly. 😉 I love that you dressed up–so fun! Did anyone dye their hair pink, like Frenchie??

Last summer I went to an outdoor Sound of Music sing along, and had a blast. I didn’t care that I was sitting amongst 5-year-olds and their moms; that movie is a timeless classic!

The homemade sushi you made looks delicious! I tried rolling my own in 10th grade, and wasn’t very successful, which I think shot my confidence. Maybe it’s time to try again? Groupon and Living Social always seem to be having sushi class deals, which *might* be a sign that I’m supposed to go. 😉

Fraiche frozen yogurt looks AMAZING!! My mouth is watering. It seems like there are so many wonderful ice cream and froyo places in SF now; I’m not sure how I’ll be able to choose where to go on my next visit! Which is your favorite?

Happy 4th of July, Emily!! Hope you have a fun day! xoxo

  3. I went to an impromptu sing along when I was in middle school – Mamma Mia at some theater on Market Street. I’m not sure how I knew the ABBA songs at age 12, but I did! Grease would probably be the BEST sing along show I can imagine…. and dressing up is genius!
