A Fashionable Crowd

Hi lovelies! Hope that you all had a great Monday and your week is off to a fantastic start! This week is kind of a busy one for me but luckily it’s mixed with fun stuff too. I’m going to see Hunger Games on Wednesday, despite not reading the book. I’ve heard great things about it though, so I think I’ll still enjoy it!

Last week I had the privilege of attending the Alice & Olivia San Francisco store opening. The event was hosted by Blair, one of my favorite fashion bloggers. I had the opportunity to meet her once before during Fashion’s Night Out so I was excited to see her at another event. I love San Francisco fashion events for so many reasons, but one of which is that they are always packed with bloggers. I also got the chance to meet Kelly from Pine to Pacific and she was just as sweet and lovely as she seems on her blog.

My Outfit: Jeans- Aqua (Bloomingdales), Shirt- H&M, Necklace- c/o LOFT

I think San Francisco gets jipped sometimes when compared to New York & Los Angeles and isn’t considered a true “fashion” city. But the street style here is amazing and it truly shines at events. Everyone’s pairings reflect their own personal twists making them anything but cookie cutter. And as if the fashion weren’t enough, the event also boasted Chandon Rose Champagne and cake pops! Two of my favorite things! After mingling and coveting way too many things that I can’t afford, we left before I could do any serious credit card damage!

-Have you seen The Hunger Games? Did you read the book?

-How would you describe your personal style?

-Is your city considered a fashionable city?

  1. I respect you guys so much for having a sense of fashion. If it were left up to me, everyone would be in sweat pants and t shirts! πŸ˜‰

  2. Cute outfit! Simple chic with a pop of necklace flair–LOVE it! I love to combine basic pieces with fun accessories; it’s a guaranteed way to look put together without spending lots of money. πŸ™‚

It sounds like you had a fun night at the Alice and Olivia store opening! Rose champagne (my favorite!) and cake pops? Umm, yes please!

As far as fashion goes, Washington DC is definitely lacking inspiration! Government workers are notorious for wearing black and white to work every day. Haha. It’s a stereotype, but there’s some truth to it! πŸ™‚

Hope you’re having a fabulous week! xoxo ❀

  3. Oh I looove me some Alice and Olivia! A couple of my friends were at that event as well. Glad you had such a blast, can’t wait to check out the new store! Love your outfit in that picture!

I’m seeing Hunger Games tomorrow and CAN’T FREAKING WAIT. I do think that SF sometimes gets the shaft as far as fashion is concerned (and quite honestly I think sometimes it’s well deserved… sometimes I shudder at the fashion as I walk down the street) but I think in the right areas, with the right people SF fashion is as spot on as NYC or LA! My style and is definitely casual chic – skinnys, cute tops, ballet flats (or heels at night!) and statement necklaces!

  4. Saw Hunger Games (at midnight) & read the book. Both .. amazing!!

My personal style … I have no idea! I try to be classy, chic … but that doesn’t always happen. Sometimes I just look like a bum! Bahaha.

And NoLa … hmm, I don’t think it’s too fashionable, or maybe it has it’s own fashion … apparently pirate outfits are in?
