A to Z and Everything in Between

Hi lovelies! Thank you all so much for your sweet comments on my LOFT campaign! It was such an amazing experience and I love being a LOFT girl! I hope that you all are having a great week so far! We’re halfway through and I am already looking forward to the weekend. Between the time change and the rainy weather in SF, it just feels like these days should be spent sleeping in, not getting up at 6:30!

The other day I saw this survey on Janetha’s blog and decided to fill it out too! In middle school I was obsessed with filling out surveys and taking quizzes, the latter of which I would insist on showing the results of each one to my mom. I always found them surprisingly accurate and couldn’t wait to see if she thought so too. Luckily that quiz phase has ended but Mom? Here’s another survey… 🙂

A is for age:

24! I think when you’re younger, years go by so much slower but as an adult, it’s hard to believe how fast time really passes. I can’t believe this year I’ll be 25! I have lots of things I hope to accomplish before then, but one thing that’s not on the list is a Quarter-Life freakout… I had mine early at 22 and will share about that another time.

B is for breakfast today:

Part 1 was something special- one of Tina’s Pumpkin Walnut muffins and Part 2 was the usual- 0% Greek yogurt, honey, frozen raspberries and granola! I have part 2 every weekday and never tire of it!

C is for currently craving:

Chips, margs and the chicken burrito with red sauce from one of my absolute favorite LA restaurants- La Sirena Grill. In college my best friend Krae (the blonde in the middle) and I would go there all the time! It really was some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had and the company was always fantastic!

D is for dinner tonight:

Tonight’s dinner was from one of my favorite take-out locations- Daphne’s Greek Cafe! I love their chicken kebobs with tabouli, mixed veggies and whole wheat pita bread… Oh and of course, hummus!

E is for favorite type of exercise:

I like to mix it up but dance classes are my favorite! I like all kinds of dance classes but am really excited to start taking ballet next week!

F is for an irrational fear:

Oh goodness, I guess my fear of ants is irrational. They don’t really do anything but even the thought of them freaks me out– I don’t like that when you see one, there are always more nearby.

G is for gross food:

Peaches for the flavor and bananas for the texture!

H is for hometown:

CALIFORNIA! Though it looks a little different than Katy Perry’s Candyland version!

I is for something important:

Helping one another! I truly believe that if we all just take 5 minutes out of our days we can really make a difference in the world. Need ideas? Check out my Take 5 Friday posts!

J is for current favorite jam:

To be honest, whatever is on the radio! I’m pretty easy to please.

K is for kids:

Someday! I absolutely love little kids and can’t wait to have some of own. Oh and if I have a little girl, I hope she’ll look something like this…

L is for current location:

On my bed? I write blog posts late at night and like to sit on my bed rather than in it while I write them or else I get too sleepy!

M is for the most recent way you spent money:

Toss up between on groceries and dry cleaning. I was out of a lot of things this week so the grocery bill was quite hefty. And I’m one of those people that has a constant bag going for the dry cleaner. I try and space out my trips and this time my bill was $100! Eek!

N is for something you need:

I’m really blessed so I don’t need anything except my family and friends to all be happy and healthy!

O is for occupation:

Though my degree is in Political Science (with a minor in English!) I work in advertising sales.

P is for pet peeve:

People who are inconsiderate and don’t consider other people’s feelings before they speak. Oh and people with those rolling briefcases on public transportation- they drive me nuts and I have tripped over more than 1 in my 5-inch heels!

Q is for a quote:

“Your journey has molded you for for your greater good, and it was exactly what it needed to be. Don’t think that you’ve lost time. It took each and every situation you have encountered to bring you to the now. And now is right on time.”

R is for random fact about you:

I can count the number of concerts I’ve been to on one hand and 2 of them were Britney Spears. Once when I was 13 and the other when I was 21. She may have had a few crazy years but I’m glad Britt is back!

S is for favorite healthy snack:

Ohh so many! I love hummus and whole wheat pita, crispy green apples dipped in peanut butter mixed with Greek yogurt, protein bars specifically Lara, Luna and Think Thin!

T is for favorite treat:

Ohh well my two favorites are frozen yogurt (Pinkberry is my absolute fave) or cupcakes. I got to have my beloved Sprinkles cupcakes this weekend in Palo Alto. They were the first cupcake bakery and  their Black and White cupcake is one of the best things EVER! They now even have a 24-hour cupcake ATM in LA– color me jealous that I no longer live there!

U is for something that makes you unique:

Well I hope that there is more than this, but the thing I can think of is that I can pick things up with my toes. If I drop something or see a hair tie on the floor I just grab it with my toes. I’ve been doing this for years and never gave any thought to it until people remarked that I was doing it! People always say I must be part monkey.

V is for favorite vegetable:

If you’ve been around the blog for a while you know that it’s hands down, butternut squash.

W is for today’s workout:

I’m working my way through Mad Abs March! I’ve found that I love having an assigned goal for the day and have been excited to see my strength growing each day! I’ve noticed some toning in my abs but the biggest difference has been in my arms- all of the sudden i have muscles! It’s so cool!

X is for X-rays you’ve had:

Besides teeth, I’ve had my neck and back done after a car accident.

Y is for yesterday’s highlight:

Discovering a long-lost favorite sweater in the back of my closet! I was so excited to wear it today!

Z is for your time zone:

PST aka the BEST coast 😉 It’s awesome for a variety of reasons but one of which is that I get to read East coast bloggers have already published new posts by the time I get up in the morning! Love that!

Answer any of the above!!

  1. Oh my gosh, so much to say! Loved reading this post! But first, guess who popped onto my screen when I opened my LOFT email this morning? Oh, that would be YOU! Congrats again on being the face of the denim campaign; I think it’s so neat that you were able to travel to New York and take part in a real photo shoot. You’re one fab model!

Your “future daughter” is adorable, and Iove love love that she’s channeling Audrey Hepburn (one of my all time favorite actresses and style icons!). Sprinkles is truly amazing, and I’m eternally grateful that they bake up an incredible GF red velvet cupcake! Now they just need to add a few more flavors to the line up! Oh, and I think it’s pretty nifty that you can pick up things with your toes. 😀 xoxo ❤

p.s. The west coast truly is the best coast, and I hope to be returning to San Francisco once I'm finished with grad school next December!
