Guess Who’s Back?

Hi lovelies! My goodness it feels like it has been quite a while since I’ve been here. I feel like I’m back from the dead so of course I wanted to check in with you all! I’ve missed the blog world (and the real world for that matter) over the past week and am very happy to be back!

So where have I been? Sick with quite possibly, the worst flu of my life. This is my third bad infection this year, but this one far surpassed the rest. With a temperature of 103 around the clock, the worst cough and constant nausea, my parents had to drop everything and completely take care of me… which unfortunately resulted in them ultimately catching this horrible flu as well. In the midst of it all, I was unable to keep down any fluids and landed myself in the hospital with infection, flu and severe dehydration. After IV fluids and medicines, I was released but ordered complete rest while I recovered.

Finally this weekend I turned the corner and began to feel better. As I stayed home and recovered further, I became obsessed with Downton Abbey:

Have any of you gotten hooked on this PBS show too? The drama, intrigue, British accents and Grandmother with the best one-liners have made me a convert. I’m slightly embarrassed to say how many episodes of the series that I’ve watched this weekend but hopefully there are some fellow fans out there to discuss it with!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday and I’ll announce the LUNA bar giveaway in my next post!

  1. Aww, I’m sorry to hear you were feeling so crummy! The flu is the worst! I’ve had it a couple times in my life, and remember feeling so weak that I couldn’t move. Definitely not fun. Thank goodness you’re on the mend!

I guess the silver lining is that you discovered Downton Abbey. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I am completely obsessed with the show as well! SO SO good! This is what all TV shows should be like–filled with dynamic characters, juicy drama, sub-plots, history etc. etc. I can’t wait for the third season!

Sending more get-better vibes your way! xoxoxo

  2. Holy cow! I’m so sorry to hear that you were under the weather; realllllllly far under the weather. What a complete bummer, that seriously sounds awful! I’m so glad that you are feeling better- hope the same thing for your parents is happening!
I have never heard of Downtown Abbey but it does sound good! I’ll have to check it out!
