Wow, I can’t believe it’s already Friday! Don’t you love it when the work week goes by quickly? I certainly do! Kailey from SnackFace tweeted about being more productive during a short week and I feel the exact same way! It’s just so much easier to get things done when you know you have a fun weekend headed your way. And with that, let’s do some of my favorite things this Friday…
1. Big & Little Reunions!
This weekend I am off to celebrate two of my best friends birthdays, Blaire and Ella! These lovely ladies were my big and little (respectively) in my sorority, so it’s so funny that their birthdays are just a day apart! Both of them live in LA where I went to school, so I am off for a weekend long visit and am very, very excited! I have a full agenda and will recap when I get back!
2. Discovering New Blogs!
I am so excited to be a part of this healthy living community and love finding new blogs to read! There are so many amazing, talented bloggers out there and discovering new blogs is one of my favorite pastimes. Some of my favorites this week are Simple Eats, LilVeggiePatch and FittingItAllIn! If you haven’t checked them out before, do it now! They are great! (Also, quick shout out to Julie from Peanut Butter Fingers who is following her dream and becoming a full-time blogger and freelancer! Congrats!)
3. Trying New Restaurants!
One of my favorite things about living in a city like San Francisco is the multitude of restaurant options! I’m constantly trying new places which is such a fun way to explore a city. This week, I went to the Stinking Rose with a friend, which if you didn’t guess, is a garlic-themed restaurant. We split the garlic spinach fontina fondue and the 40 clove Garlic chicken. Both were ok, but not great, but the experience and the company was excellent! The best part? Deciding we both felt like a little gelato and wandering over to an authentic place to get Chocolate Marzipan and Blue Bottle Coffee! (And, yes, they were as amazing as they sound!)
If you aren’t familiar with Boo, he is arguably the cutest, most well-known dog on the internet. As of today, 1,241,908 people have liked him on facebook and the number keeps growing. His owner posts adorable pictures and videos of him that always make me go “aww.” I first heard about Boo from my brother and now Boo and Tank (a bulldog) are usually brought up in every day conversations.
5. Recipe Binder!
I’ll admit that I don’t cook elaborate meals. But when I do cook, I like my recipes to be healthy, easy to understand and relatively quick. After months of printing recipes and shoving them in my purse, I would always lose them or find them at the very bottom all crumpled. So to avoid this problem, I’ve started a recipe binder! Nothing fancy, just a soft, three-ring binder so that I can print out the recipe and put it right in! So now that I can actually find things, first on my list to make are Eating Bird Food‘s Mediterranean Orzo Salad and Meals and Moves‘ Pumpkin Enchiladas! Get ready for some yummy food posts next week!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
